Antique Silver Newcastle Salts Spoons Hallmarks for 1830 offered for sale by Silver2treasure.
Pair of Antique Sterling Silver Large Salt Spoons. They have fiddle pattern handles with the Old English pattern to the back. They do have very fancy entwined engraved initials which I think are "MS". They are of a good guage of silver and have clear hallmarks. Makers Marks: CR DR (Reid & Son (Christian Ker Reid & David Reid). They measure Just under 4.25 inches long in total, the bowls just under 1 inch long and just over 1 inch wide. They weigh a total of 26g. They are both in very good condition.
This is a very good large pair of antique solid silver salt spoons and ideal for the larger solid silver salts or they would make very good spoons for serving any sauces or preserves. They will be of particular interest to collectors of Newcastle silver which is harder to come by.
