Antique Sterling Silver Basting Spoon

Antique Sterling Silver Basting Spoon. It is very plain except for a very faint Old English pattern to the back of the handle. It does have "AC" engraved in very fancy letters at the top of the handle. It has clear hallmarks

Assay Office: LONDON

Date: 1781/82

Makers Marks: B.M (Benjamin Montigue (also known as Benjamin Mordecal)

Dimensions: 10.75 inches long in total, the bowl just over 3 inches long and just under 2 inches wide at its widest pont. It weighs 77g

Condition: Overall it is in good condition, but it does have a little imperfection mark in the front of the handle, also a very small little dig mark to the back and some little digs to the top rim of the handle. It does also have some minor shallow dents to the bowl. Having said all of the above, it sounds far worse than it actually is, but I do try to list my items as accurately as possible. Please also bear in mind that this spoon is 230 years old, so all is commensurate with age and use

Remarks: A good antique solid silver Georgian basting spoon. A very useable spoon and also a nice addition to any collection of good antique Georgian silver
