Antique Silver Basting Spoon Hallmarked London 1792
They are described as:
At the top of the handle to the front, there is an engraved diamond shape which has a areas of a lined pattern and also contains 3 flowers (two in the top point and one in the bottom point). It is made from a good guage of silver and has clear hallmarks. I do have two of these spoons, so ideal if you would like a pair. Silver Makers Marks: W.S There are a number of makers with these initials, so I am afraid that I cannot confirm which one relates to this spoon. It measures 11.75 inches long in total, the bowl just over 3.25 inches long and just under 2 inches wide, at its widest point. It weighs 92g. There is a little very shallow dent in the bowl, which is hardly noticeable and some light surface scratching, which is only to be expected on a metal item, but this is minor and commensurate with age and use. This is a very good antique Georgian solid silver basting spoon, which is a very useable item, or a must for any collector of good antique georgian silver
