Mustard Spoon Irish Silver

Mustard Spoon Irish Silver Large and in good condition In Fiddle pattern and a decent size It has an engraved armorial of a dragon (I think) on a crown. Nice clear markings and a solid spoon


Carrying hallmarks for Dublin Stamped for the year 1818 Makers Marks: IS Dimensions: 4 inches long in total, the bowl 1.25 inches long and just under 0.75 inch wide at its widest point. It weighs 10g It does have minor scratching on the surface but nothing to worry about A must for any collector of Georgian Irish Silver

It is described as :

It has a fiddle pattern handle which has the Old English pattern to the back. It has a gilt lining to the balloon shaped bowl and has clear hallmarks. It does have the initials of M.L engraved in the handle. This spoon is ideal for use with a large solid silver cruet set (particularly one with the glass bottles that usually came with their own stand) or a good spoon for serving pickles from a jar and it could be used as an egg spoon.  Just under 5.25 inches long in total, the bowl 1.25 inches long and just under 1 inch wide at its widest point. It weighs 12g. It is in very good condition. This is a very good and very useful antique solid silver spoon, with various uses. I do also have a pair of large antique Georgian solid silver salt spoons in the same pattern and bearing the same engraved initials in the handles. If perhaps you have a glass bottled cruet set in the stand, and are looking for spoons to go in them, then you need look no further

Described as:  This is a very good Pair of Antique Victorian  Solid Silver Large Mustard/Egg Spoons.  They have the Kings pattern to the front of the handles (the backs are plain).  They have a gilt lining to the bowls and are made from a good guage of silver and have clear hallmarks. They do have a crest of a stag by a tree engraved in the handles. These spoons are ideal for use with  the glass bottle cruet sets that usually came with their own stand, but would be ideal spoons for serving pickles from jars or indeed for use as egg spoons

Silver Mustard Spoon Old English pattern to the back of the handle and is made from a good guage of silver and has clear hallmarks for SHEFFIELD 1946/47 Silver Makers Marks: J.D & S (James Dixon & Sons Ltd)

It measures just over 3 inches long in total, the bowl 1 inch long and just over 0.5 inch wide at its widest. It weighs 6g and is in very good condition. A very good solid silver mustard spoon.

Sterling Silver Mustard Spoon

silver-mustard-spoon-IMG_6294Silver Mustard Spoon.  It has the Old English pattern to the front of the handle with the back being plain.  It  is a good solid spoon and has well-defined hallmarks for SHEFFIELD 1921/22 with Silver Makers Marks: JD WD (James Deakin & Son (John & William F Deakin).

its size is  3 inches long in total, the bowl just under 1 inch long and 0.5 inch wide.  It weighs 4g. It is in good  condition with just some light surface scratching to the back  of the bowl, which is only to be expected on a metal item but this is minor and commensurate with age and use

A good solid silver mustard spoon and a must if you have a solid silver mustard pot without a spoon.
