Stunning Silver Preserve Spoon Plus Ladle

Stunning Silver Preserve Spoon Plus Ladle comes complete with its box. The spoon is clearly Victorian with its pretty engraved pattern. it bears Hallmarks for the Birmingham Assay Office for 1886 and was made by the renowned Silversmith Hilliard & Thomason. The ladle on the other hand is nicely matched to the spoon and carries Hallmarks for London 1838 by the Silversmiths Joseph and Albert Savery and is a lovely piece in its own right but matched to the spoon it makes a special gift for a special person.

Silver Preserve Spoon

Sterling Silver Preserve Spoon hallmarked Sheffield 1934 by Francis Howard offered for sale by Silver2treasure.

You can view the full description of the spoon together with multiple images at the Silver2treasure antique silver showcase where you will find it listed 10% cheaper than the ebay listing price.

It has the Old English pattern to the back of the handle and a balloon shape bowl (the shape of a mustard spoon). I am not actually sure what it would have been used for, but I can best describe it as a teaspoon size with an oversized balloon shape bowl. It would however make a very good preserve spoon, egg spoon, small serving spoon, large mustard spoon etc. It has clear hallmarks
