They are described as follows:

This is a good Set of 8 Solid Silver Soup Spoons. They are in the ever popular Kings pattern which is on both sides of the handles. They are made from a good guage of silver and have clear hallmarks. All have the same Assay Office and maker, but two of the spoons have a slightly different date letter (but only by a couple of years) Assay Office: SHEFFIELD Date: 6 have the date letter "x" for 1940/41, one has a "w" which dates it to 1939/40 and one has the date letter "t" which dates it 1936/37 Makers Marks: HB & S Ld (Henry Birks & Sons Ltd) Dimensions: 6.75 inches long in total, the bowls 2.25 inches long and just over 1.75 inches wide. They weigh a total of 518g Condition: They are all in very good condition, however I would point out, that one has a slightly more elongated bowl, which can be seen in the photograph as it is the far right hand side spoon (which has the date letter "t". However this is very minor, and only really noticed if you lay them all out together, otherwise you would not even notice

They are described as: This is a very good Cased Set of 6 Large & Heavy Solid Silver Soup Spoons. They have a pretty embossed flower and leaf pattern which is on both sides of the handles and they also have decorative terminals. They have the letter "W" engraved at the top of each handle, so ideal if you forename or surname begins with this letter. They are of an extremely good weight and each have clear hallmarks. They come complete in their fitted red case which also has the Walker & Hall stamp to the inside of the lid 7.5 inches long in total, the bowls 2.25 inches long and 2 inches wide. They weigh a total of 433g All the spoons are in very good condition and so too is the box, with just a little wear to the outer covering Stock No. 5136

They are plain in design and just having the Old English pattern to the back of the handles. They are made from a good guage of silver and have clear hallmarks.

Dimensions: Just under 7 inches long in total, the bowls 2.25 inches long and 1.75 inches wide. They weigh a total of 395g

Condition: They are in very good condition with just some very light surface scratching, which is only to be expected on a metal item, but this is minor and commensurate with age and use

Remarks: This is a very good set of 6 solid silver good quality soup spoons, which are ideal if you would like to add to, or start a full set of solid silver cutlery
