It has a pretty engraved flower, leaf and scroll pattern to the handle which has a decorative shaped terminal. It has a flat shovel shaped bowl which is plain in design and it has clear Danish silver marks.

Identifying Marks: It has the 3 towers which denotes it is is a minimum of 826 standard silver with a "13" underneath which confirms the date of 1913 and then the makers marks of CHF (Christian F Heise). There is also another mark but I am afraid that I cannot describe (so please email for additional photographs) and also it is stamped "PC".

Dimensions: It is just under 5.75 inches long in total with the bowl being 1.75 inches long and just under 1.25 inches wide. It weighs 14g.

Condition: It is in very good condition.

Remarks: This is a very good Danish silver sugar spoon and ideal for use with any sugar bowl.

Antique Silver Sugar Spoon

antique-silver-sugar-spoon-IMG_8852 Antique Silver Sugar Spoon Hallmarked Birmingham 1869 offered for sale by Silver2treasure.

It has a very decorative long handle which has an embossed shell and beading decoration which is the same on both the back and the front. It has a a shovel shaped bowl and is made from a good guage of silver and has good clear hallmarks. There are signs of an engraved armorial but this is now very very faint and hardly visible. Makers Marks: FE (Frederick Elkington).

Dimensions: 5.75 inches long in total, the bowl being 1.75 inches long and just over 1 inch wide. It weighs 36g.

Condition: It is in very good condition with just some very light surface scratching which is only to be expected on a metal item, but this is minor and commensurate with age and use.

Remarks: This is a very good antique Victorian solid silver 141 year old sugar spoon that would look impressive in any sugar bowl.
