Silver Tablespoon Hallmarks Exeter 1807

IMG_8001

Silver Tablespoon Hallmarks Exeter 1807 by Richard Ferris offered for sale by Silver2treasure.

Antique Georgian Sterling Silver Tablespoon. It is plain in design apart from having the Old English pattern to the back of the handle. It does have very fancy entwined engraved initials but I am afraid that I am actually not sure if there are 2 or 3 or what they are, but they could be "JCS" but I cannot confirm.(please take a look at the image below).

Makers Marks: RF (Richard Ferris)

Dimensions: 8.75 inches long in total, the bowl being 3 inches long and 1.75 inches wide at its widest point. It weighs 56g

Condition: This old spoon is in very good condition with just a very small dig in the handle but this is minor and some light surface scratching which is only to be expected on a metal item and is commensurate with age and use

Remarks: A good antique Georgian 203 year old solid silver tablespoon with still many years of use left. It will be of particular interest to collectors of Exeter silver.

Priced at £45 with free UK postage in our ebay store.
