Silver Tablespoon

silver-table-spoon

This is a good example of an Antique Sterling Silver Georgian Tablespoon.

It is very plain in design with just the Old English pattern to the back of the handle. It has clear hallmarks

Assay Office: LONDON

Date: 1777

Makers Marks: CH (Charles Hougham - I think)

Dimensions: 8 inches long in total, the bowl just over 2.75 inches long and 1.75 inches wide. It weighs 59g

Condition: It is in very good condition for its 232 years of age but it does have a very shallow dent to the bowl but this really is only noticed on close inspection. There is some light surface scratching but again this is minor and only to be expected on a metal item and is commensurate with age and use

Remarks: A good antique Georgian solid silver tablespoon, ideal for use or a nice addition to any collection
